On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, a meeting was held in Bercy to discuss the challenges of electrification, particularly with regard to industries.

The opening remarks by Ministers Roland Lescure, Maud Bregeon, Anne Le Henanff, and Serge Papin reiterated the desire to move away from fossil fuels and external dependencies as much as possible, and to continue the path toward decarbonization. The objective of this joint industry-government initiative is to assess the current situation, identify and prioritize potential measures, and ultimately decide on the best options by mid-April 2026.

An initial roundtable discussion with industry representatives followed, attended by Member of Parliament Raphael Schellenberger – who is leading a mission on obstacles to the electrification of industry – representatives from the DGE and DGEC, as well as the main federations and CSF. A3M was naturally present and shared its observations and initial ideas.

We will be fully committed to this work, as energy costs are a major issue for the industrialists we represent.
