The recycling of rare earths and permanent magnets has become a major strategic issue for Europe, both environmentally and economically, and in terms of securing the supply chain. Used in electric motors, wind turbines, and electronics, and more generally in sectors participating in the ecological transition, these magnets and their constituents play an essential role. Recycling is a solution that can reduce the ecological footprint by up to 80% compared to primary extraction and is a key element of our strategic independence.

This technical and exchange day aims to:

  • Promote collaboration between industrialists, researchers and institutions.
  • Share technological advances and highlight strategic projects.
  • Inform institutions about the regulatory and economic needs of manufacturers.
  • Highlight public policies aimed at encouraging the recycling of rare earths.
  • Initiate cross-functional collaborations between mining and recycling industry stakeholders.
