SOVAMEP: Company for the recovery of ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals
SOVAMEP is present on the iron metals (scrap metal, steel, stainless steel, etc.) and non-ferrous (alloys based on copper, aluminum, tin, lead, zinc, nickel, cobalt, titanium, tungsten) recycled, in the form of bulk or sheared, compacted offcuts, or in the form of bulk turnings and briquettes, as well as on the precious metals in concentrates (ash or blister) or refined.
SOVAMEP is a French family SME specializing for over 38 years in collection, sorting and recovery of ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals. It is present internationally with its subsidiaries VALDEME in Morocco and PEVAR in Italy, and processes more than 42 kt of metals.
SOVAMEP collection metal waste from both professionals aeronautics, electronics, mechanics, defense, food industry sectors ; as well as individuals via its metal counters in Muret (31), Langon (33), Cornebarrieu (31) and Varilhes (09). It sorts them, analyzes them, masses them, physically or chemically shaped as needed on our ICPE site in Muret (ISO14001), and sells by quality to European foundries or purchasing groups.
SOVAMEP also offers a whole range of range of adapted services : from the provision of containers, the control and traceability of materials through to on-site dismantling or transport with its fleet of trucks.
SOVAMEP focuses its skills on knowledge of the markets and the materials it works with. It has processing and recovery facilities that allow it a certain competitiveness. It is well aware of the problems of heterogeneity of materials and their complexity both in terms of their origin and their composition.
SOVAMEP's presence in these three metal sectors (ferrous, non-ferrous, precious metals) is the strength of the company, which has been its DNA since its creation. The metal recycling sector is constrained by high price volatility, while being subject to evolving regulations and global geostrategic issues that are difficult to grasp. One certainty, however, lies in the development of the circular economy accompanied by the implementation of policies for the recovery and valorization of MPS (Secondary Raw Materials), or MPR (Raw Materials from Recycling).
