Poral ® brings its customers real expertise in the field of powder metallurgy for their applications.

From porous filters to self-lubricated bearings and mechanical parts, Poral ® supports its customers from design to industrialization. Poral ® is the leading French powder metallurgy group, and the fifth in Europe. The company has over 60 years of experience in the field of sintered metals.

The group has two production sites, located between the Grenoble region and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region, where more than 2 employees work. The R&D team is constantly working on developing new materials, products, and processes.

Since 1945, continuous research efforts have enabled PORAL® to develop its own compression, sintering and powder shaping techniques for advanced sintering applications. PORAL®'s technical background results from a long experience acquired since PORAL® was known as "MetaFram® Sintered Alloys" and renamed Sintertech in 1991. Today, under the PORAL Corporation brands such as PORAL®, METAFRAM®, METAGLISS®, OLORON FRITTAGE® and ADDITIVE METAL®, we are recognized experts in the manufacturing of sintered elements. Based on its own proprietary processes and materials, the company is able to offer a wide range of sintered metals and applications. Our brands, recognized for their quality and performance, make PORAL® a strong partner in your industrial projects.

The PerMaReco project

This project aims to develop around a consortium of companies led by PORAL, a industrial recycling sector for permanent magnets composed of rare earths (Neodymium, Praseodymium, Dysprosium), by the creation of an industrial pilot transforming “used” magnets into magnetic powders and an industrial pilot using these powders for the manufacture of new magnets, having performances comparable to sintered magnets.
