Steel is at the heart of all FORLAM products, a group driven and guided by shared values.
Between the forges, perimeter protection activities and rolling mills traditional in Isère, where the family group was born almost 600 years ago, FORLAM anchors its know-how in the service of a world which, like steel, is changing.
It is in this spirit of respect and tradition that the Group has expanded its industrial tool and its teams in recent years. After the forging of small and medium-sized parts, the activity is being deployed on a larger scale by strengthening its know-how in machining, locksmithing, profiling and digital.
The Group has set itself the ambition of making steel an ever more innovative product. An ambition supported by all FORLAM employees and guided by a management team of responsible women and men.
If France is our processing territory, our market extends well beyond its borders.

HOT AND COLD STEEL DRAWING AND ROLLING

An undisputed specialist in steel rolling and drawing, the Forlam group meets the specific needs of manufacturers who are not satisfied with a standard product offering. By the transformation of stainless steels, carbon steels, special steels or titanium, the Group's rolling mills and steelworks are capable of offer tailor-made solutions to the most demanding industries, including the railway and mechanical industries.

To consolidate its position as European leader in rail fishplates for railways, the FORLAM group has taken a stake in Transalys, a player specializing in the distribution of railway equipment. A strategic partnership that allows the Group to offer its customers a complete range of equipment: rail saddles, soles or even fastening systems... and to position itself as a global solution provider.

With this same ambition, the ALMAR joint venture was created in 2021. The collaboration between FORLAM and the Austrian company Martin Schienentechnik aims to develop and distribute, in France and internationally, an offer of bonded insulating joints for the railway sector.
